Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Dungun has donated RM3,919.55 raised at a charity run around the campus today to Aman Palestin Bhd in aid of Gaza victims.
Organising chairman Bashir Ahmad Shabir Ahmad said the fund raising event was jointly organised by the Students Representative Council, UiTM Quality Management Unit, and the Student Sports Committee.
The donation was presented by UiTM Dungun head of quality management unit Assoc Prof Dr Khalipah Ibrahim to Aman Palestin (Terengganu) manager Mohammad Sirojul Afkar Hamid.
"We have received RM30,000 within a month from various quarters to assist Gaza victims, who are in dire need of help, following the recent Israeli air strikes.
"Remarkably, Aman Palestin has a branch in Gaza chaired by a local to ensure that the assistance can be properly distributed," Mohammad Sirojul said.
