All approvals for interstate travel allowed during these four days are only for one-way trips.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, two or more trips would not be allowed even during that time.

"This approved interstate travel involves only one way.

"For example, if we had previously lived in Kuala Lumpur and were trapped in Pahang, only one journey from Pahang to Kuala Lumpur would be allowed," he said in a daily press conference here on Friday.

Beginning yesterday, the government allowed a four-day interstate travel involving four scheduled movements.

In addition, Ismail Sabri added that the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) had also set up 98 roadblocks to monitor interstate movements.

"The PDRM report shows that yesterday's interstate movement was smooth and conditions in the R&R were well regulated and the rate of public adherence to PDRM directives during the interstate travel was satisfactory.

"After May 10, 2020, interstate movements are only allowed for emergencies such as medical or immediate family deaths," he explained.

Meanwhile, he said, interstate movement involving work trips was still allowed.
