COVID-19: 2,468 new cases, 4,055 recoveries and 14 deaths

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia recorded 2,468 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases to 288,229 .
Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, said out of the total, there were four cases of imports that were infected abroad.
The current active cases with COVID-19 infectivity stands at 30,475.
On the transmission of COVID-19 infection by state, Selangor recorded the highest daily cases with an increase of 932 cases, followed by Johor (428), Perak (308), Kuala Lumpur and Penang (155) and Sarawak (133) and Negeri Sembilan (100) respectively.
In addition, there was an increase of 14 new death cases, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,076.
The total number of new recovery cases was 4,055, bringing the current cumulative number of cases recovered to 256,678.
