COVID-19: 30 districts in red zone over the past 14 days - CPRC

KUALA LUMPUR:A total of 30 districts across the country are categorized as red zones within 14 days, from October 18 to 31, according to the Center for Crisis Preparedness and Response (CPRC), Ministry of Health (MOH).

The red zone covers 13 districts in Peninsular Malaysia, 16 districts in Sabah and one district in Sarawak.

Based on the list given by the CPRC, Sabah remains the highest red zone in Kinabatangan, Kota Belud, Kota Kinabalu, Kunak, Lahad Datu, Papar, Putatan, Sandakan, Semporna, Tawau, Ranau, Tuaran, Keningau, Kota Marudu, Kudat and Penampang.

Beaufort, Sipitang, Nabawan, Pitas, Tambunan, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Tongod, Beluran and Telupid are still in the yellow zone.

For Sarawak, only Kuching district recorded a red zone, while Limbang and Miri recorded a yellow zone.

Selangor recorded six red zone districts namely Petaling, Hulu Langat, Gombak, Klang, Sepang, and Kuala Langat.

Meanwhile, the districts of Kuala Selangor, Sabak Bernam and Hulu Selangor are categorized as yellow zones.

The red zone in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur is in Kepong and Titiwangsa, while in the Federal Territory of Putrajaya the yellow zone.

In the Northern states, Kota Setar, Kedah is the red zone and in Penang, the Northeast district and Seberang Perai Selatan are also in the red zone.

In addition, Johor Bahru in Johor is among the latest districts categorized as red zones.

Seremban, Negeri Sembilan recorded a red zone and a yellow zone in other districts.

The states on the East Coast, namely in Terengganu, Pahang and Kelantan so far still do not have a red zone.

Meanwhile, Perlis is the only state that is still in the green zone.
