Current update on the situation in the Middle East

The safety and well-being of Malaysian citizens abroad remain our utmost priority. At this point of time, the evacuation of Malaysians, including students may not be necessary.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to closely monitor developments in the region and has established an operations room which focuses on Iran, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon to ensure timely and effective response to any emerging situation.

We urge all Malaysians residing in or traveling to the region to remain vigilant and stay informed about the current situation. It is essential to adhere to the regulations and guidelines set forth by the relevant authorities in the countries concerned.

Malaysian citizens are encouraged to register themselves with the Malaysian Embassy in the respective countries they are residing in or visiting.
