Deranged man dies after falling from second floor of IPD Bentong

The Bentong District Police Headquarters (IPD) witnessed a man, believed to be deranged, fall from the second floor of the building yesterday.

Bentong police chief, Supt Mohamad Mansor Mohd Nor said the 44-year-old man suffered serious head and body injuries in the 7.30pm incident.

"The man turned up at IPD Bentong raving and ranting and causing a commotion. Subsequently, and before anybody realising it, he had gone up to the second floor of the building and fell off it," he said when contacted by Bernama here, today.

He said the victim was rushed to the Bentong Hospital but died while undergoing treatment.

He said investigations were ongoing and that police would be interviewing his family.

The case was classified as sudden death," he added.
