Director, deputy director among four remanded over probe into abuse of power

The Magistrate's Court today ordered four men, one of them a director and another a deputy director of a government agency here, to be remanded for seven days over an investigation into the abuse of power in the giving of department projects.
Magistrate Stephanie Sherron Abbie ordered that they be remanded from today.
The director and deputy director were aged 54 and 51.
The two others were members of the public.
They are suspected to have monopolised projects to the tune of over RM3.3 billion since 2010 at their department and given the contracts to their relatives. -Bernama
