Don't fall prey to 'information democratisation' - Najib
NAJIB: A lot of information are manipulated and circulated without restrain and over the years had misled the people.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has cautioned the people against falling prey to information democratisation.
He noted that Malaysia had been thrust into the information democratisation era, albeit unwittingly, but "which has its good and bad points".
He said a lot of information were manipulated and circulated without restrain and over the years had misled the people.
"In fact, we are living in an era of perception, not reality," he said in a radio broadcast on democratisation of information which was uploaded on www.najibrazak.com, today.
He said the accusations and innuendos being hurled around by leaders regardless of whether they were from the government or opposition did not reflect the reality of an issue or situation.
