KUALA LUMPUR:Thursday, November 26 is another date that many of the country's political observers have been waiting for as on that day, the 2021 Budget will be passed or rejected.
If rejected, what will be the impact on the administration of the country and what steps will be taken by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin if his government's first budget is not accepted?
Apart from that, all eyes are also focused on the role of the opposition MPs whether they will support the 2021 Budget or otherwise.
Among the focus is the stance of former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and the new party he founded, the Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang).
Many are waiting to see if Pejuang will reject or support or may even take a neutral stance during this Thursday's 2021 Budget vote.
Tonight, Astro AWANI will broadcast an 'Exclusive With Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad' interview which will of course touch on the 2021 Budget and Pejuang's support for the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government's budget.
In the interview conducted by Nazri Kahar, the Langkawi Member of Parliament also touched on what would happen if the 2021 Budget was not approved.
Dr Mahathir also commented on the Perikatan Nasional government as well as his relationship with PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim which was seen as still not in line after the events in 1998.
He also touched on the unity government and his relationship with Gua Musang Member of Parliament, Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah who had been at loggerheads with him in the contest for the UMNO presidency in 1987.
In the interview, Dr Mahathir will answer the riddle of whether he will join PN or continue to oppose this government.
Dr Mahathir also touched on international issues such as Zionist atrocities on Palestinian soil, Joe Biden's win, relations with ASEAN countries and the Rohingya.
All in an exclusive interview on Astro AWANI at 9 pm tonight.
