Drop in number of flood victims in Sarawak

KUCHING: The number of flood victims still seeking shelter at relief centres (PPS) in the state has dropped to 33 people this morning from 38 people yesterday.
The Civil Defence Force (APM), in a statement today, said as of this morning, two PSS are still in operation in the Subis district in Miri.
"Five victims from two families are at the PPS at Sepupok Niah Community Hall, while another 28 people from eight families are housed at the Bekenu Community Hall," it said.
Meanwhile, the PPS at the Ministry of Social Development and Urbanisation (KPSU) dormitory in Kapit was closed at 6 pm yesterday after all the evacuees returned home.
