The Edge files for judicial review against Home Ministry's decision
The Edge Media Group filed for a judicial review against the decision made by the Home Ministry in suspending the company's two publications.
The Edge Media Group today filed for a judicial review against the decision made by the Home Ministry in suspending the company’s two publications, The Edge Weekly and The Edge Financial Daily.
The motion was filed through its lawyer Raja, Darryl & Goh Advocates and Solicitors.
“We also request for this motion to be heard immediately,” said the company in a media statement. It also hopes that the court would set a date immediately as the issue involves public interest.
The Edge media Group also stated that it will not reveal the affidavit copy until the motion is heard.
The Home Ministry on Friday suspended the two publications on reason that it had created confusion.
NGO group, Geramm on Saturday held a meeting at The Edge headquarters located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor to state their support to The Edge.
