A woman was injured when assaulted by her nephew over a television cable in an incident in Ujong Batu here yesterday.
A police spokesman said the incident occurred about 4pm when the 62-year-old woman was at home alone.
"Her 17-year-old nephew went to the house and wanted to take her television cable.
"The nephew became angry when she refused to let him take it, resulting in the teenager to hit and strangle her, while hurling abusive words at her," said the spokesman.
He said the teenager only let go off his aunt when she screamed for help.

Seberang Perai Utara (SPU) district police chief ACP Azmi Adam, when contacted, confirmed the incident.
