ALMOST all Facebook users visited at least one Page or Group either to sell or to buy something.
Facebook estimated around 450 million users visited dedicated page and group of selling and buying per month.
The social media giant today launched Marketplace, a new feature which allow the users to sell or buy items based on their location.
The feature will be introduced in the coming days in four countries i.e. United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.
The Marketplace icon on Facebook app will bring the user to a list of items being sold nearby.
To specify a search, a search function is available to filter the search result according to type, price and location.
With 1.5 billion users worldwide, Marketplace is seen as a viable competition to sites such as eBay and Craigslist, with both company are expected to follow its development closely.
According to an official statement, Facebook will continue expanding Marketplace to additional countries.
