February trial for alleged Kedah royalty impersonator
The Magistrate's Court on Wednesday set next Feb 10 for the trial of a man charged with impersonating a member of the Kedah royalty.
Magistrate Sri Pracha Nanthini Balabedha set the trial date after Roshidi Fadzil, 47, of Taman Bunga Raya, Malacca, pleaded not guilty to claiming to be Tunku Putera Roshidi Tunku Fadzil.
Roshidi had claimed to be a Kedah prince to one Ooi Ten Seng, 33, at the banquet hall of the Cititel Hotel here on Oct 23 last year.
He had also pleaded not guilty to a charge of using the logo of Pertubuhan Amal Kebajikan Islamiah Malaysia without the approval of the Registrar of Societies at the same place and time.
Roshidi was represented by lawyer Muhd Yahya Zakaria.
