Felda community advised to support PM

Settlers in the 317 Felda land schemes nationwide have been advised to lend their support to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Felda chairman Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad said the settlers should be grateful as the government, through its efforts, had made Felda an entity admired all over the world.

"Therefore, we have to support the Prime Minister, let him do his job. The Felda community must always appreciate all of his contributions," he said at the national-level Felda Settlers Day 2015 launched by Najib at the indoor stadium at the Gong Badak state sports complex here Sunday.

However, he said, there were attempts by unscrupulous people to influence Malaysians, including the Felda settlers, to overthrow the government by inciting them to join street demonstrations.

Mohd Isa said currency depreciation was a global phenomenon but it had become a culture among Malaysians to politicise issues, thus creating a negative perception of the leadership.
