- Heavy rain that started late Wednesday afternoon affected four districts - Kuala Nerus, Kuala Terengganu, Marang and Kemaman.
- Up till 8 am, a total of 439 victims had been evacuated, according to Terengganu Disaster Management Committee Secretariat.
- Nine PPS have been activated to accommodate 124 families.
- Marang district recorded the highest number of victims at 157 people and 42 families were transferred to PPS Sekolah Kebangsaan Rusila.
- Flash floods also hit several tourist centers including Dataran Syahbandar, Pasar Payang and Kampung Cina.
Meanwhile, Bernama reported improved flood situations in several states.
Kelantan
- Flood evacuees housed at PPS SK Tok Deh, Pasir Mas remained at 18 people involving three families as of 8am today.
- Only one PPS was still open in the Kerian district.
- 27 flood victims from eight families were housed at the PPS after their houses in Kampung Matang Tengah, Beriah was flooded last Monday.
Public Infobanjir recorded water level exceeding danger level at Empangan Timah Tasuh, Perlis (29.61m) and Pekan Tg Karang, Kuala Selangor (3.73m) and heavy rain for Sg Marang di Jam. Pengkalan Berangan, Marang, Terengganu as at 1pm today.
Flood forecast warning is also published for Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang river basin.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department issued an orange-level warning indicative of a bad weather situation today for several areas in Kelantan and Terengganu.
- Kelantan: Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Bachok and Pasir Puteh
- Terenganu: Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus and Kuala Terengganu.
