Providing us with cars decked out with safety features isn’t enough, Ford is even teaching their drivers about safe driving as well. By Jerrica LeongFord and Sime Darby Auto Connexion recently kicked off their global Driving Skills for Life (DSFL) campaign in Malaysia. The campaign was held at the Malaysian Agro Exposition Park Serdang from 13-14 December.
Ford’s DSFL campaign is a series of classroom theory and hands-on driving lessons aimed at educating drivers on necessary and practical skills for driving safely to help reduce the number of traffic accidents. More than 80 participants attended the training session in support of their road safety campaign.
The Malaysian Institute of Road Safety (MIROS) showed that an average of 18 people is killed on the country’s roads every day and this figure is predicted to rise to 29 by 2020. Ford aims to help reduce these numbers with their DSFL campaign.
