Investigation papers on former Padang Serai Member of Parliament, N.Gobalakrishnan concerning the tweet accusing that there were police officers of Indian origin in Penang protecting the 04 gang in drug activities were expected to be completed on Thursday.

Penang police chief Datuk Abdul Rahim Hanafi said the police had opened four investigation papers on the former MP and would hand all of them to the Legal Unit Head (KUP) on Friday.

"Investigation into the case of the former MP is being conducted under Section 186 of the Penal Code, that is obstructing a public officer from discharging his duty and Section 500 of the Penal Code for defamation.

"The police also opened an investigation paper under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation and Section 504 of the Penal Code for intentional insult with intent to provoke a breach of the peace," he told
reporters after the official launching of the Penang Police Contingent's Ops Selamat 6/2015 in conjunction with the Chinese New Year at the Juru Plaza, northbound, here on Thursday.

Gobalakrishnan was detained at his home in Kulim, Kedah at 3.30pm on Monday (Feb 9) after refusing to be present at the Timur Laut District Police Headquarters for recording his statement.
