Four-year-old boy killed as van crashes into septic pond

A four-year old boy died while five others were in critical condition after the van they were in crashed into a septic pond on Monday.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the driver had parked the van in order for the students of Tadika Kemas Kaisara Taman University to enter the vehicle.

The driver was not in the van when it reversed and crashed into a gate before entering the pond.

All of the passengers were initially taken to the Taman Universiti Health Clinic where the victim was pronounced dead.

The five students who are currently in critical condition were later sent to the Hospital Sultanah Aminah Johor Bharu for further treatment.

The driver has been detained to assist with the investigation.
