GRO's semi-nude body found in hotel room
Efrinda Yuni Lubis, 38, from Batam, Indonesia is believed to have been murdered by her own countryman, police say.
A foreign guest relations officer was found dead believed to have been murdered by a fellow countryman in a budget hotel in Jalan Pasar, here, early Saturday.
Kuantan District Police chief, ACP Abdul Aziz Salleh said Efrinda Yuni Lubis, 38, from Batam, Indonesia, was found lying on the floor next to the bed at 2.45am in a semi-nude state wearing only a black and white shirt.
"Initial inspection of the victim's wallet, found open, had used condoms in it," he told Bernama.
Abdul Aziz said the victim's mobile phone and cash could have been taken by her assailant.
Police believe the victim knew the suspect and initial investigations also found that a scuffle had occurred between them based on several injury marks on the victim's body.
The body was sent to Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital here for post-mortem.
