Hee says will withdraw no-confidence motion
He added that the withdrawal of the motion would depend on when the new motion would be tabled by Dr Wan Azizah.
Opposition Member of Parliament Hee Loy Sian (PKR-Petaling Jaya Selatan) will be withdrawing his vote of no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to make way for PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail to table the same motion.
"No problems (withdrawing the motion), we will give the chance (to table the motion) to the Opposition leader (Dr Wan Azizah)" he said when met by reporters at Parliament's lobby today.
He added that the withdrawal of the motion would depend on when the new motion would be tabled by Dr Wan Azizah.
Yesterday, Dr Wan Azizah, who is also the MP for Permatang Pauh, had announced that she would be bringing up the motion as an ordinary one, that is given 14 days notice.
Commenting on the matter, Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia said it might not be accepted for debate at this sitting of the House because each motion must be filed at least 14 days before it (House) sat.
However, Dr Wan Azizah said the opposition would follow through with the move even if it does not become a reality.
