The Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) has refuted an article entitled 'Toll Rate Hike in August?' uploaded in the Free Malaysia Today website on Tuesday.
LLM director-general Datuk Ismail Md Salleh said to date, the government had not made any decision on raising the toll rate.
"No such directive has been issued to concession companies on the matter. As such, any statement or report on toll rate increase is not true," he said in a statement yesterday.
He said at the moment, toll for all highways would remain at the current rate.
According to the report, 19 highway concession companies would raise their toll rates in August, at between 50 and 100 percent.
