Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak once again stressed that he does not know Mongolian woman Altantuya Shaariibuu and was not involved directly or indirectly in her murder.
He said the issue is an old story and he himself had uttered an oath denying his involvement in a mosque in Permatang Pauh in 2008.
“This is a story from 2008… an old story. Actually I uttered the oath ‘Wallahi Wabillahi Watallahi’ three times in a mosque in Permatang Pauh in 2008… that I do not know Altantuya and I’m not involved directly or indirectly,” he said.
Najib said, the police had conducted an investigation and the Inspector-General of Police at that time also issued a statement saying he was not involved.
“At that time, Pak Lah (Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi) as the Prime Minister reported the issue and the IGP issued a statement saying I was not involved,” he said when being interviewed in a special edition of “Soal Jawab” programme on TV3 last night.

Najib said the police at that time carried out investigations and looked into the alleged connection he had with the case.
“There is no evidence whatsoever that arise that I know her. There’s nothing – no pictures, no writing, no witnesses and so on.
“The court has determined the process up to the Federal Court. Are we going to question the integrity of the courts which have defended before this?” he asked.
Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in a series of attacks against Najib urged an investigation be conducted after Sirul Azhar Umar issued a statement claiming he had received orders.
