KUALA LUMPUR: Yuvan Shankar Raja, the highly celebrated music composer in South Indian cinema, is set to captivate audiences with a dynamic performance in Malaysia this Saturday.
He will take the stage at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil here for his concert titled "HIGH ON U1 - LIVE IN KUALA LUMPUR 2023".
In an exclusive interview with Bernama, Yuvan stated that his show will make use of top-notch choreography and technical aspects to enhance the audience's experience.
"I have selected Malaysia as the starting point for my Asian tour, as it holds a special place in my heart. For this concert, I am determined to present a unique experience that has never been witnessed before," Yuyan
The concert is organised by Don't Run Away (DRA) Asia Entertainment and Horizon Group in partnership with Thamarai Jewels.
Joining Yuvan on this musical extravaganza will be Silambarasan, a multi-talented Tamil actor who is also involved in playback singing, scriptwriting, music composition, and movie directing.
Yuvan said Silambarasan, better known as Simbu, will add another layer of entertainment to the concert, adding that Malaysian fans can expect a breathtaking combination of music and dance from both of them.
They will perform together, showcasing the songs he composed specifically for Simbu, accompanied by a group of 30 to 40 performers, he said.
With a career spanning 27 years, Yuvan the son of Indian music maestro Ilayaraja, is renowned for his mastery in blending traditional Indian music with modern sounds, creating a unique musical fusion that has captivated audiences worldwide.
The concert will showcase his repertoire, ranging from his earlier hits to his latest compositions, including crowd favourites such as 'Mankata', 'Idhu Varai, 'Yedho Mayakam', 'Loosu Penna' and 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi'.
The Indian music composer said besides touring the United States and several other countries for this next concert, he will also be composing music for the upcoming Tamil movie 'Iraivan,' starring popular Tamil actor Jayam Ravi.
