Indonesian man found drowned in Kuala Selangor
The body was handed over to the police for further action.
The body of an Indonesian man who drowned while fishing in Sungai Rantau Panjang, Bestari Jaya, Kuala Selangor last night was found by the fire and rescue team today.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department spokeman said the body of Hartanto, 34, was found floating at 3.40 pm about 200 metres from the spot where he was believed to have fallen.
"The body was handed over to the police for further action," he said in a statement today.
During the incident around 7.30 pm, the victim was believed to have fallen into the river near Universiti Selangor while fishing with three other friends.
One of his friends called the emergency line and a team from Bestari Jaya Fire and Rescue Station arrived at the scene 30 minutes later.
