Investigations into 1MDB will continue until it is resolved - DPM

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi stressed that investigations on state investment company 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) will be continued until it is completed.

He said, every leader is faced with his own set of challenges and all problems must be resolved.

The UMNO vice-president said that he and the UMNO Liasion Body fully supports that the investigations need to be continued until a solution is found.

“A great leader is not being judged on the challenges he faces but on how he resolves those challenges.

“I acknowledge the decision by the Johor UMNO Liasion Body in wanting investigations to be continued until the matter is resolved.

“I support the decision and investigations will continue,” he said in his speech when opening the Kota Tinggi UMNO delegates meeting here, today.

He said, whatever the issue, UMNO members have been urged to not be influenced by certain quarters adding that unverified information on social media should not be trusted as it can lead to the downfall of the party.
