All flags will be flown at half-mast for three days following the demise of Tunku Laksamana Johor, Tunku Abdul Jalil Sultan Ibrahim Ismail at 7.11pm on Saturday at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) in Johor Bahru.

The young royal, who is the fourth of six children of Sultan Ibrahim and Permaisuri of Johor, Raja Zarith Sofiah Sultan Idris will be laid to rest at the Mahmoodiah Royal Mausoleum after Zohor prayers.

Tunku Abdul Jalil was born on July 5, 1990 and was the Tunku Laksamana of Johor.

He had been battling Stage 4 liver cancer and had previously underwent a liver transplant in China.











The late Tunku Abdul Jalil known for his warm personality during his lifetime made him a people’s person.

Johor council of royal court president Datuk Abdul Rahim Ramli in a statement on Saturday said that the public can pay their last respect beginning 9am to 11.30am at the Istana Besar.

The public started flooding the palace as early as 8am to pay their last respect.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak on his personal twitter account also expressed his condolences to the Johor Royal family.
