Kelantan civil servants to receive RM500 Raya aid

The Kelantan government is giving special aid of RM500 each to state civil servants to help them with the Aidilfitri preparations.

Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob said the move was in line with the announcement by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak on the disbursement of RM500 special financial aid for civil servants at the federal level.

"We will make the payment as carried out by the federal government," he told reporters after breaking fast with people with disabilities (OKU) at Balai Islam Lundang here yesterday.

He said the state government also planned to give special aid of RM250 to the "penghulu" (village heads).
