KLIA baggage woes: Operations at KLIA resume

Flight operations at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) have resumed today after 48 flights were postponed due to baggage handling woes on Friday.
Malaysia Airport Holdings Berhad (MAHB) in a statement Saturday confirmed the matter stating that the shortage of manpower in the vendor’s company has been resolved.
“Up till midnight, flight schedules were operating normally, no more postponement.
“We have informed the ground handling services company – AeroDarat Services – that the issue has been resolved,” said the statement.

Yesterday, MAHB managing director, Datuk Badlisham Ghazali notified that 50 flights out of were delayed due to baggage handling issues.
The problem started at 7.30am due to shortage of baggage handlers by AeroDarat Services affecting approximately 1,500 passengers.
