KUALA LUMPUR: The Kota Kinabalu branch of Puspakom Sdn Bhd (Puspakom) will be closed temporarily from tomorrow till a later date after an employee was confirmed COVID-19 positive.
Puspakom said in a statement tonight that the immediate closure was done to ensure that sanitisation and cleaning work can be conducted at the premises.
"The contact tracing process is being conducted and all branch employees will undergo COVID-19 screening tests while those who have dealt directly with the employee are ordered to quarantine themselves for 14 days," the statement read.
The statement also said that Puspakom will seek advice from the Road Transport Department regarding vehicles with expired inspection periods during the branch's closure.
"For customers with appointments at the Kota Kinabalu Puspakom, all inspection appointment payments made will be returned automatically," it said, adding that the reopening of the branch will be announced on its social media channel.
