Kuching express bus catches fire, no passenger casualty reported

A bus driver suffered burns on the ear and hand when the bus he was driving was razed at KM30 Jalan Serian-Sri Aman, Sarawak.
Sarawak Fire and Rescue Operations Centre investigating personnel, Melvin Amuk in a statement today said his department was alerted on the incident at 2.57pm.
The bus belonging to MTC Express was 80 per cent destroyed. However, no casualty was reported in the fire.
"The bus was on a Kuching-Sibu-Miri route. It was believed to have carried 26 passengers. The Balai Ringin Voluntary Fire team succeeded in putting out the fire earlier," said the statement.
The Balai Ringin Voluntary Fire team arrived at the location at 3.30pm after being notified by the public.
