Two British medical students were found dead at Abell Road in Kuching, Sarawak, early this morning, the Borneo Post reported.

The victims, aged 22 and 23, were found lying on the road around 4am with serious wounds and are believed to have been stabbed by a group of men.

The victims are said to be medical students attached to the general hospital in Kuching.

They are also believed to have been drinking earlier at Travillion and were walking back to a lodge near Green Hill Road when they encountered the suspects, believed to have been drinking.

Both parties were said to have confronted each other before the men attacked the victims with sharp weapons before fleeing.

According to Bernama, police have detained three suspects over the murders.
