Reports on missing name tag and baggage, as well as pilgrims losing their way and not able to get back to their place of accommodation made up most of the complaints recorded by the Tabung Haji (TH) Customer Service Centre here.
Makkah TH Customer Service Centre manager for 1438H haj season Zor Mohd Poat said at the centre, pilgrims could also obtain various information, not just to lodge complaints.
As of Aug 5, he said the centre was able to settle 143 cases involving loss of name tags by replacing new tags to the affected pilgrims.
"The name tags are important because the pilgrims will need them, not just for their self identification purpose, but also to withdraw money," he told reporters at the TH Customer Service Center at the Abraj Al-Janadriyah Hotel here.
He said the centre also recorded 90 cases involving loss of baggage from the Malaysian pilgrims and 60 cases involving pilgrims who could not find their way back to their maktab (place of accommodation).
"On lost bags, TH can replace the missing bags with money if the bags are not found after 48 hours .If found, the bags would be returned to the owners," he said, adding that the centre is opened round the clock.
Zor advised Malaysian pilgrims to follow all the instructions given by TH to avoid any untoward incidence, including losing their personal belongings.
