Mahadzir Khalid to defend Umno Supreme Council post

Deputy Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water, Datuk Seri Mahadzir Khalid will defend the Umno Supreme Council post in the party elections next month.

"With my position in the government and the party, I can give views, ideas and make decisions that can benefit the people.

"I can help develop rural and urban areas," he told reporters after closing the National Trainers Workshop for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency 2013 and the launch of Green Technology Mobile Unit exhibition here on Wednesday.

Mahadzir, who is also Padang Terap Member of Parliament and Padang Terap Umno division chief, was elected Umno Supreme Council since 2005.
