Maid who alleged abuse may not have been properly fed, say police
The Indonesian maid who alleged abuse by her employer in Subang Bestari may not have been properly fed, police said today. Sungai Buloh District Police chief Supt Junaidi Bujang said Maria Roberta Sain, 30, was thin. He also said that she had facial bruises and scars and bruises all over the body. Maria had fled from her employer's house yesterday and lodged a report at the Subang Jaya police station. "We are trying to secure a court order so that the maid can be placed in a shelter home for women because she is afraid to return to her employer's house," Junaidi told Bernama. Her employer had surrendered at the Sungai Buloh police headquarters yesterday and was taken to the Petaling Jaya Magistrate's Court today to obtain a remand order.
