A Malaysian teacher was found dead with injuries on his head and believed to have murdered in Sungai Golok near Pengkalan Klinik, here today.
The body was found floating in the river by villagers around 11am, today.
The victim was identified as Azami Mohamed, 38, a teacher from SK Batu Mengkebang from Kampung Pasir, Kelang Baru in Kuala Krai.
The case is being investigated by Thai authorities as the recovery was made in Thailand.
The victim was reportedly murdered at a different location before his body was thrown into Sungai Golok.
The body was brought to Hospital Sungai Golok for post-mortem.
