Man burnt to death after car crashes into shophouse
The personnel took about an hour to remove the body, which had 80 per cent burns, from the car, he said.
The burnt body of the man, identified as Kuan Wei Sin, 30, of Jalan SJ 5/6B, Taman Seremban Jaya, was found in the driver's seat after the Toyota Altis car had crashed into the shophouse along Jalan Kapitan Tam Yeong at about 12.30am, he said.
"Preliminary investigation showed that the accident happened when the car was on Jalan Kapitan Tam Yeong while heading from Jalan Tun Dr Ismail to Jalan Yam Tuan. It crashed onto a concrete pillar of the shophouse.
"The car burst into flames and Kuan was trapped in it. He suffered burns all over the body," he said in a statement.
The body was sent to the Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital, he added.
