A man is feared drowned after he was swept away by strong currents while crossing the Sungai Pegalan Saturday morning.
Following Daibet Juan's disappearance in the 11.30am incident, a search and rescue operation was mounted by the Keningau Fire and Rescue Department.
According to the department''s spokesman, till late evening, the 48-year-old victim, from Kampung Dangulad could not be located.
Meanwhile in another incident, housewife Asthma @ Monica, 59, sustained burns on the abdomen when fire struck her two-storey house in Kampung Bakiu near here yesterday.
The incident occurred about 11.20am.
