Man found dead at the foot of apartment block

A man was found dead at the foot of the Kristal Heights apartments in Jalan Delima, Thursday, police said.

North East District Police deputy chief Supt Ismail Idris said the body of Lim Swee Chye, 42, was found by passers-by at about 8 am.

The electrical wireman is believed to have fallen from the fourth floor of the 15-storey apartments, he said.

Ismail told reporters Lim had a medical record of psychiatric treatment and had lived with his mother at an apartment there.

His mother had told police that Lim had chatted with her at their apartment at about 4 am Thursday, he said.

Ismail said Lim's body had been sent to the Penang Forensics Department. He said police classified the case as sudden death.
