MAS: Penang sets up task force to help retrenched staff

The Penang state government h as set up a task force to help the 6,000 retrenched Malaysian Airlines staff to find jobs in the state.

However, those who are interested to take up the job offers in the state must first register with the Penang's Career Assistance and Talent Centre (CAT).
Yesterday, Minister of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the ministry had set aside RM10 million for the retrenched staff.
Its minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the ministry is working together with Tekun Nasional and Agro Bank to offer loans to the former MAS staff to do business.
