MDeC targets 100,000 participants for eUsahawan, eRezeki programmes this year
MDeC would expand its collaboration with Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) centres nationwide.
The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDeC) aims to attract 100,000 participants for its digital entrepreneurship, eUsahawan and eRezeki programmes this year.
Chief Executive Officer Datuk Yasmin Mahmood said in order to do so, MDeC would expand its collaboration with Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) centres nationwide.
"To date, we have 147 TVET centres working with us, offering digital entrepreneurship courses," she told reporters after delivering a talk entitled 'Towards Empowering Malaysia in Technology' at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia here Tuesday.
Yasmin said apart from that, several other TVET agencies, including the National Youth Skills Institute, GiatMara and Mara Professional College would introduce eUsahawan in their curriculum soon.
"We want to intensify our efforts so that more Malaysians are exposed to the digital entrepreneurship programmes and benefited from it," she added.
