A disclosure on the involvement of several opposition politicians who allegedly falsified documents on 1Malaysia Development Berhad published by the Sarawak Report news portal will be contained in two more video clips to be released by a former Sarawak Tribune editor, according to a source.
Ramesh Rao Krishnan, president of Pertubuhan Minda dan Sosial Prihatin, said the video clips, by Lester Melanyi, would be released soon.
"We will release the video clips slowly and we will reply to all the accusations of Sarawak Report founder Clare Rewcastle-Brown.
"Besides, the video clips will expose the Malaysians who had come into contact with Melanyi, such as opposition politicians, and the mastermind in the Sarawak Report case who disseminated the information," he told Bernama.
Ramesh Rao disclosed this to Bernama when asked to comment on newspaper reports today on the second video clip released by Melanyi.
In the 6.02-minute video clip, Melanyi disclosed that almost 90 per cent of the content of the Sarawak Report articles on government investment company 1MDB had been tampered with by opposition politicians to denigrate the government and topple Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
In the clip, Melanyi named a web designer based in London whom he claimed was engaged by Rewcastle-Brown to allegedly alter and create e-mail as well as false agreements to make them look genuine.
Ramesh Rao said the police had recorded a statement from him following the police report he made with Melanyi's alleged evidence at the Petaling Jaya Police headquarters at 8 pm on July 15.
He also said that he had known Melanyi over the last two months following the expose and often contacted him by telephone and met him in Kuala Lumpur and Sarawak.
Ramesh Rao said he was convinced the police might be able to unlock all the issues, including the expose by Melanyi who claimed to have met PetroSaudi International Ltd former executive Xavier Andre Justo who is being investigated by Thai police over blackmail allegations.
It had been reported that opposition politicians had met with Justo over the alleged purchase of classified documents pertaining to joint ventures between PetroSaudi and 1MDB with the intention to denigrate the Malaysian government.
