MH370: P8 Poseidon collected radar hits in the Southern Indian Ocean

A reporter currently on the US Navy owned P8 Poseidon aircraft reported that the military aircraft had managed to collect radar hits from an object found in the Southern Indian Ocean.

The ABC reporter, David Wright, is one of the reporters on board the aircraft in this search mission.

P8 Poseidon is one of the first aircraft to arrive at the location in the Southern Indian ocean, where satellite imagery recorded two objects believed to provide further indications on what happened to the missing flight MH370.

The U.S Navy Seventh Fleet spokesman, Commander William Marks however explained that the radar hits is a normal occurance and has no connection to the missing plane.

Australian authorities earlier on Thursday revealed satellite footage of two objects detected in the southern Indian Ocean which could be related to MH370.

According to Wright, the flight from Perth to the search areas is about 2,500 miles and will take three hours.
