MH370: "We need to remain calm to make the right judgement"- MCA
MCA Publicity Bureau Chairman, Dato’ Chai Kim Sen, said that those involved in the search of MH370 aircraft should remain calm as it then allows for better judgement in finding it.
In a press statement on Wednesday, Chai said that both the Malaysian and Chinese government share a common goal which is to find the plane and provide closure for the families of the passengers and crew on -board the flight.
He said that the 40 year old diplomatic ties between Malaysia and China should be protected by the citizens of both countries and prevent unfortunate incidents from jeopardising the rapport established by the two nations.
Chai added that netizens should not spread unfounded and seditious remarks with a political agenda as it is not the time to make irresponsible and baseless statements.
At 10pm on Tuesday, Najib had announced that British investigators from its Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) had confirmed that the Malaysian Airlines (MAS) MH370 flight ended in the southern Indian Ocean.
MH370, which had been missing for the last 17 days disappeared from Malaysian radars at 2.15am on March 8 after taking off from Kuala Lumpur International Airport for Beijing at 1.30am. It carried 239 passengers including crew.
