JOHOR BAHRU:The Al-Istiqomah Parit Mislam Mosque in Muar has been closed for sanitisation tomorrow as a precaution against COVID-19, Johor Islamic Religous Affairs Committee chairman Tosrin Jarvanthi said today.
The mosque, located in the mukim of Sri Menanti, will reopen on Friday, in time for the dawn prayers, he told Bernama.
“Personnel from the Ministry of Health; Fire & Rescue Department and Muar Municipal Council will carry out the sanitisation,” he said.
A viral message on social media had stated that the mosque has been closed to the public until a date to be announced.
