Move to oust AG Apandi Ali can open up the Pandora's box - Abdul Rahman Dahlan
Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan said Malaysian Bar's move over AG Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali can open the Pandora box.
The Malaysian Bar's move in asking for a judicial review over the Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali's decision for not pressing charges against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak can open the Pandora's box, warned Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan.
"Malaysian Bar must state clearly where the AG has erred because the facts above show the AG's decision was consistent with the laws," he said in a series of tweets today.
(1) Malaysian Bar asking for judicial review on AG's exercise of his clearly discretionary powers could open up the Pandora box.

(2) If judicial review of AG's decision is allowed, then it is conceivable that those being accused by the AG will also ask for it!

(3) Now let's go specific on PM's case which Msian Bar is focusing on. The Bar should know some facts.

The Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan also argued that the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) could not press corruption charges against Najib over the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) money transaction as they have been approved by the Bank Negara.
(4) The 1MDB and donations transactions were approved by BNM. There was no way for the transactions to proceed without BNM's approvals.

(5) BNM approvals also meant the money was legitimate. MACC is then has very little reason to press for corruption.
