Movement Control Order: Services of military to be mobilised effective from Sunday

With effect from Sunday, the military will be mobilised to assist the police in ensuring that the public complies with the Movement Control Order and stays put at home, as part of efforts to contain COVID-19.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that the government is confident that with the military assisting with movement control, the order will be implemented effectively.

"We hope the people will show a better compliance of the order," said Ismail Sabri who is also the Defence Minister at a press conference after a Special Ministerial Committee meeting on the Movement Control Order, held here today.
