Muhyiddin tested negative for second COVID-19 screening
The Prime Minister's Office in a statement said that both tests conducted during the self-quarantine period were confirmed negative.
KUALA LUMPUR:The Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has been confirmed negative for COVID-19 on October 15 after undergoing a second sample detection screening test.
The Prime Minister's Office in a statement said that both tests conducted during the self-quarantine period were confirmed negative.
Adding to the statement, Muhyiddin, who is also the Member of Parliament for Pagoh, has completed his self-quarantine period on October 16 (Friday).
“The Ministry of Health (MOH) has conducted a COVID-19 detection screening test for the second sample on the Prime Minister on October 14 and has been confirmed negative on October 15," according to the statement.
The Prime Minister's Office informed that although the self-quarantine period is over, the Special Meeting of the National Security Council (MKN) will continue to be conducted through a video conference.
"Even though the self-quarantine period has ended, the NSC special meeting is still being conducted through a video conference as a precautionary measure in facing the current situation of COVID-19 in the country," he said.
Earlier, Muhyiddin underwent self-quarantine for 14 days at his residence after Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri, who attended the meeting with him was confirmed positive for COVID-19.
Dr Zulkifli was allowed to leave the ward at a hospital in Seremban, on October 14.Enable GingerCannot connect to Ginger Check your internet connection or reload the browserDisable in this text fieldEditEdit in GingerEdit in Ginger×
