ALOR GAJAH: Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Sulaiman Md Ali has described his relationship with the four state assemblymen who announced that they have lost confidence in his leadership as "good".

He said that attention was always given to whatever was needed by the four representatives at every executive council meeting.

"No outside interference and my relationship with them is good.

"Of course, under the present circumstances it's a bit difficult because as, everyone knows, we are trying to revive the government, especially the economy and health. They (assemblymen who withdrew their support) also have the same task to do but they have finally brought it down, just when we are entering Phase Three (of the National Recovery Plan)," he said.

He said this at a press conference at the house of Melaka UMNO information chief Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusuh in Masjid Tanah today.

The four are former Melaka chief minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron (BN-Sungai Udang), Datuk Nor Azman Hassan (BN-Pantai Kundor), Datuk Norhizam Hassan Baktee (Independent-Pengkalan Batu) and Datuk Noor Effandi Ahmad (Bersatu-Telok Mas).

With this development, the Melaka government has been rendered collapsed.
