Najib condemns terror attacks in Saudi Arabia

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today strongly condemned the terror attacks that targeted Jeddah, a mosque in Qatif, and a security checkpoint near Prophet Muhammad’s Mosque in Madinah.
"This morning, I am again shocked to receive alerts on bombings rocking three cities across Saudi Arabia.
"We condemn such vile acts, which happened especially within the Prophet's Mosque vicinity in the holy city of Madinah, and this is not Islam," he said in his Twitter account.
The Saudi Arabian Interior Ministry said in a statement that the attack took place as the people were about to break their Ramadan fast for the day.
The attack at the Nabawi Mosque was the third in Saudi Arabia yesterday. Two other attacks occurred elsewhere, one near the United States consulate in Jeddah and the other at a Shiite settlement in Qatif, which claimed the lives of four security officers and injured five others.
The Malaysian Foreign Ministry said no Malaysians were affected by the attacks.
